Terms & Conditions — myCinema

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the myCinema mobile application ("the App"). The App is provided by CodeR, Athens, Greece ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 15 years old (the age of digital consent in Greece) to create an account and use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. The service

myCinema helps you discover movies, browse showtimes, find nearby cinemas, and save favorites, watchlists, and reviews. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User content

• "User content" means the reviews, ratings, username, avatar, and other material you submit.
• You retain ownership of your user content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute it within the App for the purpose of operating the service.
• You are solely responsible for your user content and confirm you have the right to share it.
• You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, obscene, infringing, misleading, or spam. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these rules, at our discretion.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, its servers, or other users' accounts; interfere with or disrupt the service; scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the App except as permitted by law; or use automated systems to access the App in a way that harms the service.

6. Showtimes and cinema information — accuracy disclaimer

Movie showtimes, prices, formats, and cinema details are aggregated from publicly available sources and third-party data and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. myCinema is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any cinema, cinema chain, or distributor. Always confirm showtimes, availability, and prices directly with the cinema before travelling or purchasing tickets. We are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on this information.

7. Intellectual property

• The App, its design, and its original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law.
• Movie metadata and posters are provided by TMDB (The Movie Database). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Trademarks, titles, posters, and related materials belong to their respective owners.
• These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (including Supabase, Expo, Google, Apple, and TMDB). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Greek and EU law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the App or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may modify the App or these Terms at any time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights, disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Athens, Greece. If you are a consumer, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
